Kanes became one of the first in the nation to operate as a “Design Studio/Furniture Store”. Because of this pioneering concept, the Kalin's were honored for their vision with The American Furniture Mart’s ‘Pacemaker Trophy’ for the “Most Innovative Store in the Nation”. Designers and decorators were part of the sales staff and free in home design services became available to every furniture buyer. These concepts are still very much a part of our services today.
